The space between us
This is an ongoing project where I ask couples I know to send me a short film of them embracing. I then use several stills from the film very freely to draw images before I carve and print them in linocut on A3 size Hahnemüle paper. These are less portraits and more scenes from a relationship, loosely inspired by Bergman´s film Scenes from a marriage. I am interested in the form of the figures in relation to each other and their surroundings and how to play with that in the graphic media of linocut without grayscale.
